M9-PGT

Health Pod & PatientPod touch screen integration system.

The Health Pod measures height and weight, calculates BMI and records diastolic and systolic blood pressure without the need for any supervision by a qualified professional. They are fully automatic and produce a printout, which can be handed to the receptionist or GP as required. The whole process takes about 90 seconds, thus saving the need for a ten minute, face to face nurse appointment and the consequent costs.

Metrology approved for medical use.

Integration with PatientPod Records System

The PatientPod system provides contactless monitoring for blood pressure, height, weight, BMI & various lifestyle questions.

Patients can use the system entirely unaided by simply entering their date of birth and gender using the attached touch screen. Once identified the patient can be prompted to answer selected lifestyle questions and are then guided through the measurement process. At the end of the process the patient can see their results displayed on screen and are also given a printout.

The measurements and responses to lifestyle questions are SNOMED coded and posted away to a buffer file awaiting peer review. Once reviewed the information is then accepted individually, by batch or deleted. Accepted results are then filed straight to the patient record in EMIS, SystmOne or VISION.

Free text warnings can be input and edited by each surgery and displayed to a patient at the end of the measurement process depending on the result of their BP and BMI. So, if a patient’s BP is over 140 they would be shown the below text along with their measurements “Your blood pressure is high. Please rest for 15 minutes and try again. If it is still high, please arrange to see your GP”

You can also set up your own alerts system, typically on reception PCs. Then, if a patient’s BP or BMI is above or below user defined thresholds an alarm is sounded in real time on the reception PC to alert you that someone has exceeded these thresholds.

The PatientPod PC touch screen will be attached to the wall next to the monitor.
